Extortion I Exist SXWZD Tour - Part 2

After Newie we got a few days off in Canberra, then it was off to Byron Bay.
Show was okay, not great, not horrible. White room, brighter photos than usual, less shadows, rim lights running a little bit too hot.

Marathon Promos

I did some promo shots for Marathon quite a while back when I was in Brisbane with I Exist on the Shai Hulud tour. I met the guys previously when I Exist went to Queensland and subsequently have seen them play a bunch of shows around the place. They have a new EP 'Never Safe' out through Arrest Records, and are doing an east coast tour very soon.

The Hollow, I Exist, Marathon

The weekend after meeting Marathon and seeing them play two shows in queensland with I Exist, they came down to Canberra for a show with The Hollow.

It ended up being a jam room show at the warehouse, very cramped and very hot. I set up my strobes in opposite corners of the room, one front of stage right, and one back of stage left, sometimes i was shooting from where the audience was standing and sometimes I was standing next to the drum kit.

I Exist played as a five piece with Josh for this show.

Some of the out of towners thought it was funny that the venue was in a suburb known for it's abundance of porn stores, and decided to bring an inflatable sex doll into the room when The Hollow played.

I Exist Queensland Day 3 - Part 3

 

This trip to Queensland was probably the best time I've had on tour with a band, I Exist, Phantoms, Marathon, good shows and great dudes.
