Phantoms promo

Did some new promos for Phantoms in Queen Victoria Markets in Melbourne.

Benny

This is a shot of Benny that was to be used as the cover for a split CD between Observer and Carcass Brains. I don't know if this will ever be finished or put out as both bands are now over.

With some added design by Patrick Galvin.

I Exist seven strong

I Exist have had a total of seven members for a while now, so far they've only played one show with all seven, usually it's six members on stage with either JJ or Kelly on third guitar. This is the first promo of them with seven members.



This is the new header image of their myspace, seven dudes with a sword getting silly, Patrick Galvin did the graphic design.

Not sure if I'll post the original image, I might actually do some prints of it if anyone is interested.

I Exist promo and practise

I shot new photo of Alex, since his return from South America, to fit in with the previous I Exist head shots.

I also hung around during their practise before going to Perth, and took a few photos.

Pod People - Promos

I did these a few months back, at a tree that was described to me as "doom looking".
Pod People are a Canberra doom/stoner metal band, that have been around for ages.

4Dead Melbourne

I went down to Melbourne with 4Dead for two shows, these were their first interstate shows with the new lineup.
This is some video from the all ages show at Catfood Press, Jon punched the head off a cymbal stand during the second song.

And this is 4Dead standing in a field, of what I assume is Canola.

Relentless Promos

I shot some new Relentless promos back in July, in a tunnel at the University of Sydney.

Marathon Promos

I did some promo shots for Marathon quite a while back when I was in Brisbane with I Exist on the Shai Hulud tour. I met the guys previously when I Exist went to Queensland and subsequently have seen them play a bunch of shows around the place. They have a new EP 'Never Safe' out through Arrest Records, and are doing an east coast tour very soon.

Shinto Katana Promos

While in Melbourne on the Shai Hulud tour I did some promos for Shinto Katana. Across the river from the Seaford venue, we found an abandoned factory covered in graffiti, we named it the doom factory.

Dropsaw Album Launch

Went to the dropsaw album launch in Newcastle on the weekend.
Took some promo photos of them.

I Exist - Photography band

Three new promo photos for I Exist done in one night. If there's one thing this band does well, it's sell merch, but it's followed closely by posing for photos.
Sometimes there's four members of I Exist, and sometimes there's five, and it looks like in the future, there's going to be six fairly often. This is the second set of headshots I've done for them, the first time was just for reference for the internal artwork of their album. I really like the look of these ones, might keep doing variations on these with the band in the future. Shot them in Murph's louge room, in front of a white wall, 430ex in shoot through umbrella, camera right, bare 430ex backlight camera left, subjects were about 5ft away from the wall.

Captain Cleanoff

Did a new promo photo for Captain Cleanoff.

They just recently got a new bass player, Jason PC Fuller from Blood Duster.

The band will soon be starting an 11 date U.S. tour, ending with them playing the Maryland Deathfest, which Blood Duster are also playing.

I Exist 2010

I Exist are releasing their debut album 'I: A turn for the worse' through Common Bond Records/Stomp on the 7th of May. They have a new song up 'One thousand hooves' on their myspace.

I took a new promo photo for them, their first one with new guitar player Josh. Josh plays guitar in Pod People and used to be in Blood Duster. 430ex in shoot through umbrella camera right, 430ex bare camera left behind band, 430ex directly behind band pointing at the wall behind,

The songs on this album are so much heavier and doomier than anything they have previously done. The band is mostly know amongst the hardcore scene, but I think this will really open them up to a more metal fanbase, for people who enjoy Eyehategod, Down and Sleep

This is the album cover, artwork by Glen 'Glenno' Smith, the internal artwork looks amazing also.

The band will be on tour with Shai Hulud in May

Dead Kings - Twenty Ten

Before their recent tour, Dead Kings announced that their first vocalist Damo was leaving the band.
After his last show they revealed his replacement, Zaca Duncalfe (Center).

Zaca was previously the singer of Vices for Virtue, and also sings in a new band Promises.

Going to Queensland

 I'm Going to Queensland today.

I Exist will have these shirts at the shows. If there's any left afterward they will probably go on the Capital city web store. Patrick did both the designs.
